Transnational Meeting in Targu Jiu

From 1 to 3 June 2016 in Targu Jiu, Romania the teams from  Romania, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Portugal  gathered for the last Transnational Meeting. Three days of intense work, but fruitful for the management of the two years, Erasmus+ project, BLEND-IT.

The main objectives of the 1st Transnational meeting of the partners from BLEND-IT project was for all partners to meet, evaluate the progress done in the project and discuss potential issues and significant matters at hand concerning the materialisation of the project.

We have used this meeting for disseminating the whole project and its results, through a Symposium organized at Constantin Brancusi's University.

1st Day

The first day of the meeting started with discussions and preparation for the Symposium: discussing the order and length of each presentation, testing the presentations and clearing any concerns about it.

The discussions moved to the next topic: developing new solutions or adapting old solutions for reducing the rate of early drop out, each one of the participants sharing with the others how this problem is being handled in its institution/country and what measures, programmes or approaches are used.

Next there was a lecture about differentiated teaching and a workshop about learning by doing, both using practical examples about their use in education.

After lunch, the project activities implanted in the last months were assessed, each institution reporting on how they have finalised them, if they have encountered any issue and how they have solved it.

It followed a visit to the Aula where the Symposium was about to take place, where we have tested the sound and the ICT equipment, decided how to arrange the room etc.

The day ended with and a city tour.

3rd Day

The last day of the meeting started with a project Symposium follow up: we have read the answers given by the participants who have filled in the evaluation questionnaires, we have discussed how we could organize a similar event in the future.

Later we have done the assessment of the Project Intellectual Output, discussed about the Project Impact and the Dissemination done so far, followed by a Further Dissemination Strategy.

At last we had discussions about the final report and future collaboration.

The objective of the evaluation was to provide feedback to the facilitators about the different aspects of the meeting and to improve future events.

The evaluation started with a non-formal evaluation: the participants and the facilitators had the opportunity for a last conversation about the meeting while having lunch together.

They have talked about their feelings and impressions, as well as the topics discussed during this meeting.

The formal evaluation of the meeting was done with the help of an online evaluation form.

All participants received a certificate of attendance.
