Coordinator's Welcome

I proudly say that being in such a fruitful project and coordinate this partnership makes me not only satisfied but also gives me chance to work with an excellent partners.

At the very early stages of our project , thanks to our partnership  we worked hard and planned every detail  of STEM FOR ALL altogether and now I‘m hopeful that our project will be a good examples for whom wonders about Stem Education Approach and it provides many sources to teachers and gives opportunities to students imagine and think like future scientist.

As educators we should not reject the reality of problems that our world faces, Furthermore we should take account what the future needs to solve these problems and we have to embrace some concepts such as “ Stem, 21st century skills, Innovation)

If we look at from this percentage, our project will inspire who cares future.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Context

In rapidly evolving technology , we should take account of what the globalized world needs and what should we do to meet these needs. For this reason information society has been seen as a necessity of increasing mental processes and production skills rather than labor and muscle strength recently. On the other hand, the result of PISA and TIMMS tests show us our current education and tight curricula does not work  in way we want. In this aspect STEM education has become a necessity for all the countries of the world. We need to encourage our students currently in our educational systems, as well as future generations of students, to understand and embrace the technology that affects them every day of their lives.
STEM FOR ALL aims to address these issues by motivating teachers to keep up the date and enriching their professional skills because we believe that STEM related subjects need to be taught by engaged and enthusiastic teachers using hands-on and minds-on activities. Making Stem related subjects enjoyable and exciting will not only help them to learn, to make connection with real life but also it will be a step for anticipatory STEM career. Student will engage with basic skills in math and science as well as 21st century skills such as creative and  critical thinking, problem solving, information literacy and communication.
In STEM FOR ALL project we will combine many methods and techniques as our methodology although we will mostly use Inquiry-based and project based learning as well as active learning and Ict based learning for project activities.

Objectives:

To broaden the STEM awareness among students, teachers, local authorities, communities and raise positive attitudes of Stem related careers.
To empower the teachers' teaching profiles and build basic Stem skills hence to faciliate them use more student centered teaching styles by combining interdiciplinary teaching with the inquiry learning.
To provide STEM curriculum which will help us to implement STEM activities, pilot implementation of the curriculum will be practically implemented through 20 hour- course in each participant country, teachers and students will test the curriculum and manuals.
To involve students with fewer oppotunities such as disability, cultural differences and economic obstacle as well as advantaged students into the STEM activities thus we want to give chance to these students to be part of the project while living STEM experiences, we will  also take account for gender equality while involving students into the implementing stem activities .
To disseminate the project results, experiences, impact as wide as possible.
