LTT2: The Role of Technology in Education and best practices of using it in our classes

Our second Ltt meeting was held in Stockholm/Sweden from 28th May -1st June2018. Novia Engleska Skolan hosted teachers and educators from Turkey, Romania, Sweden, Italy and Greece joined as 4 participants. The main idea of the meeting was “The Role of
Technology In Education and Best Practices of Using It In our Classes” . As Technology in the learning environment is becoming increasingly popular, the subject matter of the meeting was very significant for our partnership and our project’s objectives. And we know that the stem consists of the many disciplines that can easily incorporate with the technology in order to improve our target groups' engagements, through a variety of usage of technology ,due to the transitivity of interdisciplinary. On this percentage, our
working agenda planned meticulously by the Swedish team and discussed with project coordinator. We focused on how can we use digital platform within a school, for learning and collaboration, how can we individualize of learning for students. How can technology improve collaboration and the planning among teachers outside of meeting -times. And also, we worked on how interdisciplinary projects more easily and successfully can be done using IT . during the meeting the examples were shown as best practices. For example, one of the stakeholders of Sweden partner Academy Kista hosted us to show their ways
of
teaching which is called “Accelerating Learning” to train adults to gain them a new job regarding IT. Another topic we have focused on is how digital tools can be managed and integrated into the school platform, hence creating user friendly but powerful environment in which a lot of learning and development take place. Besides these, we wanted to revise what we have gained from our first LTT about Stem education and best practices of by combining role of technology. To support this desire we added Stem presentation, workshops which were given by Mr.Sencer Çorlu who is one of the most important career regarding STEM in Turkey. He showed us what kind of technologies can be used within STEAM education, what kind of sources can we use as a guide during our studies. The workshops carried out by Novia Engleska Skolan teachers and the Swedish project coordinator Erik Oscarsson were about coding, digital platforms such as google classroom, we have been inspired by the activities we’ve done during the workshops that we can use some of them during our national teacher training sessions. In our evolving world , technology is evolving ,too. 3D technology is one of them which is used very wide range of sectors. Thanks to Erasmus ,we could have chance to have experience about 3D technology during our Second Ltt.Our host organization added to our working agenda study visit of Stockholmsrummet where is built by this technology to design new city plan of Stockholm , by this study visit we could explore how can we integrate and use 3D technology and virtual reality as educational purposes. We have also discussed these kind of technologies practices by giving examples from our own experiences, this helped us to benchmark our teaching ways.

The host organisation was so kindly welcomed us and extremely thoughtful to make comfortable us during our stay in Sweden, Every detail was planned carefully by the project team. As the cultural activities are quite important to link between cultures,to respect for every nations and Erasmus Plus are quite important to link between cultures,to respect for every nations and Erasmus Plus Programmes wants such kind of interactions , Swedish partners presented their own culture, too. One of the most important tradition is their Fika, we had fun with Swedish Fika times while we were on our break times. And of course Viking territory which is known as Birka was such a great place to introduce Viking culture to us.
