Kick-off Meeting

The YLGET project officially started with a two-day transnational partners meeting hosted by Asociația Edulifelong in Târgu Jiu, Romania. Representatives from Youth International Center Burgas (Bulgaria), SAYEG-DER (Turkey), and Edulifelong (Romania) gathered to align on the project’s objectives, structure, and upcoming activities.

The meeting began with a warm welcome and partner introductions, followed by an overview of the project’s management framework, including financial guidelines, reporting tools, and risk management procedures. Partners reviewed and approved the communication and dissemination plan, confirming the project’s visual identity, social media strategy, and content calendar.

Interactive sessions focused on planning research and study visits, agreeing on methodologies, data collection tools, and responsibilities. The partners also discussed the upcoming Training of 12 Youth Workers, which will take place from 30 June to 4 July 2025 in Burgas, Bulgaria, designed to empower participants with innovative approaches to youth engagement in sustainability and green transition.

Day two centered on finalizing the six-month action plan, defining deliverables, and setting internal deadlines. Participants also completed evaluation surveys and received certificates of participation. The meeting concluded with a guided Climate Walk through Târgu Jiu, offering insight into local green initiatives and community sustainability efforts.

The next project meeting will be held online in April 2025.
The partners closed the kick-off event with enthusiasm and a shared commitment to promoting youth leadership and sustainable transformation across Europe.
