Welcome to the Youth Leading Green Energy Transition Project!

Our mission is to empower youth through energy education, personal development, and entrepreneurship, fostering a generation of informed, responsible, and proactive individuals.

Local Activities

Our Local Activities aim to inspire and empower at least 30 youths from each partner country to become advocates for sustainable energy. Through a combination of hands-on learning, interactive workshops, and community engagement, participants will explore the importance of renewable energy and energy efficiency while gaining practical insights into sustainable practices.

Training of 12 Youth Workers

Our program aims to equip 12 youth workers from partner organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to engage and inspire young people in sustainable energy practices. Selected participants will undergo a transformative 5-day training hosted by IYCC, designed to enhance their skills and impact.

🌱 “From Idea to Action” – young people in Târgu Jiu propose solutions for their community!

Yesterday, over 30 students from Theological High School Târgu Jiu and “Traian Vuia” Technical High School Târgu Jiu took part in a workshop held at Zbor Hub, a space dedicated to youth engagement and initiative.

The session, facilitated by @asociatiaedulifelong , focused on climate action, sustainability, and advocacy, and was connected to the European Climate Pact / Pact2School Challenge and the YLGET – Youth Leading Green Energy Transition project. The workshop combined awareness with a practical, team-based approach focused on real solutions.

After a short introduction and an inspiring case study, students worked in teams during the “Convince the Mayor!” simulation, developing advocacy ideas based on real community challenges:
🌳 green spaces 🌬 air quality and comfort in classrooms 🤝 school–NGO cooperation
🚲 sustainable transport 👕 fast fashion and textile recycling

The activity was more than an educational exercise — it was a concrete step toward empowering young people to critically analyze their reality and propose sustainable solutions.

💡 Students learned that change starts with an idea, but becomes real when it is supported, communicated, and turned into action.

📢 We are delighted to share that we held an inspiring meeting during the Volunteer Thematic Evening with active young people interested in volunteering activities and the development of our community.

🗓️ The event was part of the activities under the international project “Youth Leading the Green Energy Transition” YLGET 🇧🇬🇷🇴🇹🇷 [2024-3-RO01-KA210-YOU-000290227], financially supported by the Erasmus+ programme 🌐

👀The focus of the evening was on young volunteers, the topic of the green transition, and the important role of young people in this process. 💚

During the meeting, we discussed ideas for green initiatives proposed by the young participants themselves—ideas that have the potential to turn into real actions. ♻️

🖥️ We also held a webinar dedicated to good volunteering practices both nationally and internationally, from which we gained valuable insights for future initiatives. Our partner organizations from Romania and Turkey, along with their engaged young participants, also took part. Thanks to the active discussion, questions, and shared experiences, we were able to explore the topic from multiple perspectives, helping to broaden our horizons. 🤝

🦸 A special guest speaker was Bozhil Kondev, an energy expert, who shared practical experience and valuable guidance on the role of volunteering and the implementation of green initiatives. ⚡🌿

🙏 We would like to thank all participants and partners for their active involvement! We are looking forward to the next meeting, which we believe will be just as educational and inspiring. ✨

🎓✨ Yesterday, the Младежки международен център - Бургас team had the pleasure of visiting PGMEE!

Together with two classes, we organized an interactive role-play debate on building a photovoltaic power plant in a fictional city ☀️💡 Students stepped into the roles of different stakeholders and defended their perspectives with strong arguments and great enthusiasm 🗣️

💬 The activity helped develop key skills such as critical thinking, active listening, flexibility, and decision-making, while exploring important aspects of the green energy transition 🌍

💚 Thank you for the warm welcome — we’re excited for the next activities with such motivated young people! 🙌
