Welcome to the Youth Leading Green Energy Transition Project!

Our mission is to empower youth through energy education, personal development, and entrepreneurship, fostering a generation of informed, responsible, and proactive individuals.

Local Activities

Our Local Activities aim to inspire and empower at least 30 youths from each partner country to become advocates for sustainable energy. Through a combination of hands-on learning, interactive workshops, and community engagement, participants will explore the importance of renewable energy and energy efficiency while gaining practical insights into sustainable practices.

Our program aims to equip 12 youth workers from partner organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to engage and inspire young people in sustainable energy practices. Selected participants will undergo a transformative 5-day training hosted by IYCC, designed to enhance their skills and impact.

🌍✨ Edulifelong at Târgu Jiu Erasmus Connect ✨🌍

Asociația Edulifelong was happy to take part in Târgu Jiu Erasmus Connect, a two-day event organized by Scout Society in partnership with Erasmus+ Ambassadors Gorj, bringing together education, civil society, the business sector, and local authorities.

The event created a valuable space for dialogue, visibility, and networking, highlighting the real impact of Erasmus+ projects and opening doors for new collaborations in 2026. During the Networking Carousel, we proudly disseminated our YLGET – Youth Leading Green Energy Transition project, sharing educational materials, learning experiences, and good practices in youth engagement, sustainability, and green transition. 🌱⚡

We were inspired by the exchanges with schools, NGOs, decision-makers, and fellow practitioners, and we are grateful to be part of a community that believes in cooperation, learning, and European opportunities for young people.

Thank you to the organizers and partners for this meaningful initiative — we look forward to turning these connections into future projects! 💙🇪🇺

🏛️ Young Voices Shaping Europe’s Green Future 🌍

This week, young people took part in a Model EU Parliament role-play on Decarbonisation, stepping into the roles of European decision-makers and debating how former mining regions can transition to clean energy while protecting people and cultural heritage. 🇪🇺⚡

The discussions were dynamic and thoughtful, balancing ambitious climate goals with the need for a just transition, job security, and respect for local identity. Through negotiation and collaboration, participants experienced how complex European decision-making really is.

Implemented by Asociația Edulifelong as part of adapting good practices within the YLGET – Youth Leading Green Energy Transition project, this activity empowered young people to think critically, speak up, and shape sustainable solutions for Europe’s future. 💚

📢 Youth Lead the Green Energy Transition brought together young people, ideas, and technology this weekend (Oct 25–26 2025) at the @yicburgas

⚡ Organized under the Erasmus+ project “Youth Leading Green Energy Transition” (YLGET) [2024-3-RO01-KA210-YOU-000290227], the event showcased inspiring demos by talented students from @ambassadors.ep.pgmee and the Vocational Technical High School Burgas – from smart villages and solar systems to a Rubik’s cube-solving robot! 🤖☀️

🚗 The highlight? The Batcar – an electric car built by the Tavern’s racing team – wowed the crowd with live demos!

💬 Day two turned into a simulation of a city council debate on the green transition, followed by creative projects for a sustainable future – comics, panels, and more! 🌍

🙏 Huge thanks to all participants, teachers, and guests from Burgas schools for making this event unforgettable!

📚✨ Superheroes of Green Energy! ✨🌍

On September 21st, during the TRECEM pe verde Festival, Asociația Edulifelong invited young participants to turn creativity into climate action through our workshop “Comic Book – The Story of Renewable Energy.” 💡⚡

Instead of charts and statistics, we used the power of storytelling! Youngsters imagined a world powered by solar, wind, and water energy — creating their own comic book heroes who protect the planet and inspire change. 🎨🦸‍♀️

This fun, hands-on activity helped them understand the green energy transition in a creative way — showing that stories can move hearts and spark ideas faster than numbers ever could. 💬🌱

We’re so proud of the imagination, teamwork, and passion our young artists brought to this experience! 💚

🌱 Day 2 | July 1 – Youth in Action for Local Sustainability! 🌍⚡Today in Burgas, we continued our journey as part of the A2 Training of Youth Workers for the Erasmus+ YLGET Project – Youth Leading Green Energy Transition, with youth workers from SAYEGDER (Türkiye) and Asociatia Edulifelong (Romania) embracing new knowledge and skills through non-formal education. 💬🎓The day kicked off with an in-depth session on“Sustainable Management of Local Resources”—How can we use what our communities already have in a greener, smarter way? Participants explored practical ideas to activate local energy, water, and waste solutions. 🏘️♻️💡In our interactive workshop, we focused on:✨ “Young People and the Local Community as a Resource”Through hands-on, non-formal methods, participants worked in teams to map out green initiatives where youth can lead change in their towns. These discussions empowered us to rethink what youth participation really looks like in sustainable development. 🗺️🤝🔬 In the afternoon, we visited an anaerobic installation—a real-world example of circular economy in action! Participants saw firsthand how organic waste is turned into energy, and reflected on how such systems can be promoted in their own countries. 🔄⚙️🌿💭 As always, we closed the day with a reflection session—an open space to connect personal learning with professional growth. 🔌 Learning Through Direct Engagement with Experts: Youth Exploring Renewable Energy and History! ⚡🌊

As part of the Youth Leading Green Energy Transition (YLGET) project, Asociatia Edulifelong organized an inspiring study visit with a group of youth and youth workers, combining education, sustainability, and history! 🇷🇴🌍

🚍 First stop: Răchiți village – a powerful example of local sustainability!
Participants met with an engineer who explained how the solar plant in the area generates clean energy, with a total installed capacity of 3MW. The group learned how solar technology is helping reduce emissions and support the local energy grid. 🌞🔋

🏞️ Next stop: Porțile de Fier II Hydropower Plant – a landmark of clean energy in Romania!
At the turbine room, youth discovered the impressive 6 Kaplan turbines, each generating 190 MW/h. Experts from the facility provided detailed explanations and answered all the curious questions about how hydroelectric power supports Romania’s energy mix. 💡💦

🏛️ Final visit: Muzeul Regiunii Porților de Fier
Here, participants explored how water and biodiversity have shaped the region across centuries. They learned about efforts to protect the Danube’s biodiversity, including the conservation of sturgeon, an endangered species. They also discovered how, even during the Roman Empire, water was used for transport, power, and daily life—showing that sustainability has deep historical roots! 🐟🌿🏺

This hands-on experience gave participants a deeper understanding of green energy production, environmental protection, and the connection between past and future sustainability efforts.

🌍 Second Training Visit – "Youth Leading Green Energy Transition" (YLGET) 🌱

📢 This week, students from Burgas Professional Technical High School explored the world of green energy and innovation during the second YLGET study visit! Hosted in Bulgarovo, Burgas Municipality, the event brought young minds closer to the future of sustainability. 🚀

🌞 The visit began with a tour of a photovoltaic power plant built on a former landfill – a powerful symbol of transformation and green progress.

🌾 Participants then discovered cutting-edge agricultural tech, including autonomous farming and electric machinery – showing how innovation is reshaping farming, even in early stages. 🚜

💨 A stop at one of the region’s first wind turbines – running for over 15 years – showed how wind energy can thrive on unused land. A true inspiration!

🎓 At the end of the day, each participant received a certificate and left empowered to be a green energy ambassador. 🌱
