Celebrating Results and Planning Future Action
On 10–11 May 2026, representatives of the YLGET partnership gathered in Istanbul, Türkiye, for the project's final international events: the Multiplier Event "Youth Advocacy for the Green Transition" and the Final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM). Hosted by SAYEG-DER, these activities brought together project partners, youth workers, educators, researchers, young people, and stakeholders committed to supporting the green energy transition through education and youth participation.
Youth Advocacy for the Green Transition – Multiplier Event
The first day focused on sharing the project's achievements and inspiring broader community engagement in sustainability and renewable energy topics.
The event opened with a presentation of the YLGET journey, highlighting the project's mission, key milestones, and achievements over the previous 15 months. Participants explored how the partnership successfully empowered young people in Romania, Bulgaria, and Türkiye through innovative educational activities focused on renewable energy, sustainability, climate action, and civic participation.
A key moment of the event was the presentation of the project's final results, including the YLGET Digital Booklet. Developed through the collaboration of all partners, the booklet brings together practical activities, non-formal education methodologies, digital tools, and best practices designed to support youth workers, teachers, educators, and young people interested in promoting sustainable energy and climate awareness.
Participants also attended an expert seminar delivered by Ela Yıldız Aslan from Marmara University, who explored the relationship between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Green Energy Transition. The session highlighted the importance of connecting environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and youth engagement in addressing global challenges.
The event further showcased inspiring examples of local action from Türkiye, where young people presented their own sustainability initiatives, energy-related projects, and awareness campaigns. These presentations demonstrated the creativity, commitment, and leadership potential of youth when given opportunities to participate actively in shaping their communities.
In the afternoon, participants engaged in two interactive workshops. Asociatia Edulifelong (Romania) facilitated a practical session on digital tools for energy education, demonstrating how technology can support environmental learning and youth engagement. IYCC Burgas (Bulgaria) introduced innovative methodologies and participatory approaches that can be used to involve young people in green initiatives and sustainability projects.
The day concluded with networking and strategic discussions, allowing participants to exchange ideas, reflect on lessons learned, and explore opportunities for future cooperation in the fields of youth participation, sustainability, and renewable energy education.
Final Transnational Project Meeting and Evaluation
On 11 May 2026, project partners met for the final Transnational Project Meeting, dedicated to reviewing achievements, evaluating project outcomes, and planning future cooperation.
The meeting began with a comprehensive review of the project's objectives, implemented activities, and achieved results. Partners reflected on the impact of YLGET on participating young people, youth workers, educators, and local communities, highlighting increased awareness of sustainable energy, stronger youth participation, and the successful development of innovative educational resources.
A detailed review of all project activities and deliverables confirmed the successful completion of planned outputs, including local activities, international learning events, dissemination campaigns, educational materials, and the YLGET Digital Booklet. Particular attention was given to ensuring the long-term accessibility and usability of project resources beyond the project's lifetime.
Partners also finalized administrative and financial reporting requirements, verified supporting documentation, and reviewed the overall implementation process to ensure compliance with Erasmus+ quality standards.
An important part of the meeting focused on dissemination, visibility, and impact. The partnership reviewed the reach of communication activities, stakeholder engagement initiatives, social media campaigns, and multiplier events implemented throughout the project. The discussion demonstrated how YLGET successfully engaged diverse audiences and promoted awareness of renewable energy and sustainable development across all partner countries.
During the quality assurance and evaluation session, partners analyzed participant feedback, reviewed evaluation findings, identified lessons learned, and discussed recommendations for future projects. The overall assessment confirmed that YLGET successfully achieved its objectives by strengthening young people's knowledge, skills, and engagement in the green energy transition while equipping youth workers with innovative educational approaches and practical resources.
The final session focused on sustainability and future cooperation. Partners explored ways to continue promoting the project's results, integrate the developed methodologies into future educational activities, and build new Erasmus+ initiatives that further support youth empowerment, sustainability, and climate action.
The meeting concluded with a certificate ceremony and official closing remarks, celebrating the achievements of the partnership and reaffirming the shared commitment of all organizations to continue working together for a greener, more sustainable future led by informed and engaged young people.
The Istanbul events marked not only the successful completion of YLGET but also the beginning of new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and youth-led action in support of the green energy transition.
